In the beginning of March the Belgian sections came together at Castleland for the BNP II Leuven. We had a blast! ESN Namur got elected as the 17th section in ESN Belgium. Tim Bastiaens announced his candidacy as Treasurer of ESN International, for which we fully support him. We can't wait to see you all again in Berlin. It's less than one month till AGM Germany 2017, are you ready?

WHAT HAPPENED WITHIN OUR NETWORK
BNP II LEUVEN 
Our second Big National Platform took place in Leuven in a lovely castle! We discussed about the strategy for the upcoming year and approved our 17th section: ESN Namur. Tim Bastiaens announced his candidacy for Treasurer of ESN International. 

Thanks to the international guests from Erasmus Student Network Czech Republic, Erasmus Student Network Hungary - ESN Hungary, Erasmus Student Network Lithuania and Erasmus Student Network Spain for joining us.

ESN Belgium proudly supports Tim Bastiaens as a candidate for the position of Treasurer of our Erasmus Student Network. Tim is currently Vice-Chair for Audit at the Finance Committee of ESN and the former Treasurer of ESN Belgium. Be ready to be #TIMpressed #RoadToBerlin
ESN NAMUR
Congratulations to ESN Namur! At the BNP II in Leuven we elected them to become part of our Network!

But who are they exactly?
Their original name Eurokot was an organisation founded around 15 years ago by the University of Namur to welcome and integrate Erasmus students. They are an organisation of 11 board members. Every year around 80 Erasmus students come to Namur. This year they started with a buddy programme and now they have 15 buddies.
NETx
At NETx in the ESN House in Brussels our Vice President Laura De Bock got the chance to meet the other VP's and talk about issues that they have together. One day was focused on event management and trainings. And the other days where focussed on network management.
EDUK8 STARTER MADEIRA
During a 8 day long training on the beautiful island of Madeira Naomi and Carmen participated in multiple workshops. The aim of the training was to gain knowledge on non-formal education methods, different learning styles and learning processes. They will be able to implement this new knowledge when creating workshops tailored to the needs of ESNers. It were a heavy 8 days but the results were accordingly. Unlike other ESN events we didn't go clubbing each night but after all the input during the day we also didn't need that.

For anyone interested in creating workshops from scratch and delivering workshops in ESN this event is where you should be. Next to the knowhow about workshops you will learn way more about non-formal education, how to moderate, how to speak in public and all the science behind energizers!

The Spring ExchangeAbility Week happened in the past week: 20th - 26th of March. 

Through the different events and activities organized by ESN sections, both ESN members and international students had the chance to learn more about disability and help in creating a more inclusive and accessible Europe.
